Dental Staff

Originally from East Jordan, Dr. Sherman pursued undergraduate studies at both the University of Michigan and Central Michigan University. After graduating with her Doctor of Dental Science degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, Dr. Sherman immediately returned home to Northern Michigan where she has been in private practice since 1993. Since then, Dr. Sherman has also attended the Engel Institute, where she has had extensive training in dental implants. While Dr. Sherman enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, she has a special interest in both dental implants and TMJ diagnosis and therapy. Dr. Sherman is an alumni of the Dawson Academy and the Piper Education and Research Center. Dr. Sherman is committed to providing a combination of the best state-of-the-art dentistry and tried-and-true traditional methods with which her patients are comfortable.

As she is both our office manager and a dental hygienist, Amanda's smiling face can be found anywhere in our office.  A Gaylord native, Amanda began working here straight out of Gaylord High School in 1993.  Since recieving her Associates of Science from Lansing Community College, Amanda has been practicing dental hygiene for the last sixteen years.   Amanda and her husband, William, have been happily married for twenty-two years.  The Colliers have two sons, David and Zane.  In her spare time, Amanda loves to read and spend time outdoors in the sunshine, especially at the beach.  

After attending Ferris State University and graduating with her Bachelor of Science degree, Sarah first began with our office in 2012.  Sarah's twins keep her busy with soccer, dance, and taekwando.  When she has free time, Sarah enjoys hiking, camping and kayaking.  

Everyone knows Linda!  For the last eighteen years, Linda has answered calls and welcomed patients into Alpine Family Dentistry.  Born and raised here, Linda has lived her entire life in Gaylord.  Linda married her husband, Lee, forty-six years ago.  Together, Lee and Linda have raised six children.   Twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren in four different states keep them moving.  Linda loves to entertain, cook, travel, and camp with friends and family.  

Carla has been providing quality care in our practice for the last fifteen years as a chairside dental assistant.  Prior to our office, Carla was also a Certified Orthodontic Assistant with years of valuable experience.  When she is not at the office, Carla can be found boating, decorating cakes, or spending time with her family.  

Jessica is the newest happy face on our team.  After practicing for twelve years in orthodontics as a Certified Dental Assistant and Certified Orthodontic Assistant, Jessica decided to further her education.  By completing her degree at Washtenaw Community College, she is now a Registered Dental Assistant and brings the latest in dental assisting skills to our office.  Twenty-one years ago, Jessica married her high school sweetheart, Sean.  The Masons have two girls, Lillian and Adalynn.  In addition to the girls, the Mason family also includes furry and feathered companions (dogs and chickens).  The Masons enjoy any outdoor activity, especially camping, fishing, and hiking.  

Although she has been with us for the last seven years, Betsy brings many more years of experience to our office, including orthodontics.  Our resident workaholic, Betsy never misses a day of work.  When she is not working here, she can be found delivering, catering or refinishing furniture (more work!).  Betsy is the mother of five grown children and grandmother of four.
